Virtual Integrated System (VIS) – XXX’s enterprise-class private cloud infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) – offers secure and scalable hosted IT infrastructure with on-demand access to virtual server and storage resources. (Project Size : 150 members, Duration : Jan 2011 – current)


Key Achievements

– Gained deep insight in technology stack comprising of Tomcat, Spring based

OSGi bundles deployed in Apache-ServiceMix/Camel an


– Primary contributor to backend Rest/Soap services in Java and took ownership

of integrating a lower-level product.

– Commended for bringing engineering rigor to performance improvement and

scalability testing practices. Developed and integrated a metric collection

library to conduct comprehensive performance analysis.

testing with “system test” team.

– Implemented multi-layered Object oriented framework in C# using design

patterns and developed web-services in WCF. Designed and implemented the

database in MS SQL. Integrated WPF vendor deliverables to the UI controller.

– Created test suite with 80-90% code coverage for the above framework. Improved

the quality of DRM by adding unit and functional regression test cases.

– Acted as a backup build engineer and hosted the web services on IIS.

Maintained build process on a daily basis.

– Liaison between Test/Technical Writing teams in India and development team in

US. Actively engaged in project transition activities to development team in

India and conducted knowledge transfer sessions.


Product Impact

– Credited for improving the product performance 25 times and reducing the

maintenance time from 332hrs/yr to 46hrs/yr by automating all manual process

involved and optimizing the code. For example – Removed dependency on xml/text

files by implementing database and implemented caching to optimize database

calls by 50%.

– Major Dell clients such as Target, Exon mobile, etc. benefitted from the above

performance improvements. Contributed significantly to build robust product

that led to flexible delivery schedules for Dell to above clients.

– By building generic and modular components our team helped other Dell

products, such as Dell Client System Update, to reuse the code base.
