Job Overview

The Pre-Sales Engineer (PSE) supports sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex AIDC Solutions.

The PSE collaborates to ensure technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, and support Key Customer technical decision-makers.

Job Responsibilities

• Proactively scopes the AIDC technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both customer and the firm.
• Secures input from all necessary solutions stakeholders within the customer firm. Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.
• Coordinates closely with internal sales, principal supplier technical team to align solutions design with customers’ business requirements.
• Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported.
• Provides coaching and professional development team member sales associates in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
• Opportunistically pursues additional business development opportunities within the customer firms.

Accountabilities and Performance Measures

• Achieves assigned productivity and profitability quotas
• Achieves Product growth targets for the assigned geography, channel, sales team, or account base.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.

Organizational Alignment

• Reports to Head-Business Development
• Works closely and collaboratively with the sales and account teams supported.

Qualifications

• Four Year college degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum three years of sales or sales engineering experience in business-to-business, large/strategic customer segment; or
• A record of achievement and technical solutions expertise in a comparable sales role.
• Product Certification, engineering credentials, or equivalent technical credential.
• PC Proficiency

Working conditions

• This position includes outside travel to customers’ premises
